About Trellis
Trellis is a Christian ministry based in Scotland with the aim of supporting and developing pioneering leaders to be sustainable in their callings. Our goal is to empower and release pioneers to thrive and bring their best contribution to their communities and God's kingdom. Our heart is to see the good news of Jesus being brought to life in new contexts leading to transformation and flourishing. We seek to connect and collaborate with others to increase capacity for pioneering mission in Scotland and beyond.
Why 'Trellis'?
Many are now seeing the need for fresh and innovative expressions of mission and church in Scotland and beyond.
The problem we have seen is that those who take up this vital work often feel unsupported or isolated, causing negative impacts on other areas of life, and increasing the risk factors associated with stress and burnout.
We believe there is a need for more support at the pioneering edge of the church.
The trellis image is of a light-weight structure, that is flexible and adaptable, which can support the branches to grow to their full potential. It is an image of the coming together of connecting parts to create strength as they support the life that is growing.
We cannot create this trellis on our own but we hope to play our part and seek to partner together with others who have a similar vision.

Safe supportive space
At Trellis we feel our part to play is co-creating safe, supportive spaces for pioneers to grow and move forward.
Spaces where we are valued in our being as well as our doing. Where we can grow not just in our ministry skills, but as whole people. Spaces where we can feel comfortable even before ministry has really taken off or in times of transition or failure. Emotionally healthy spaces where we see people not just in the context of their work but also in the context of their relationships, their spiritual lives and their rest.
Coaching is our primary offering currently and we are dreaming about other possibilities for the future, so check back for updates or subscribe to our mailing list to follow our progress.
